The Saint George Men’s Group (SGMG) is comprised of gentlemen from the parish and surrounding community who all have a common goal: to answer the call for social justice through good works. Our organization is nimble in its operation: resourceful, pulling on the talents of all members; Faith-based, recognizing the call of the Gospel to help a neighbor in need and apolitical, leaving our outside views at the door.
To date, the SGMG has raised and donated $330,00 to various local and national charities through social events like the St. Patrick’s Day Dance, Kentucky Derby Dinner, Charity Golf Tournaments, Nostalgic Drive-In Movie Night and the popular Italian Fest. With direction from our pastor and Guilford Social services, the SGMG has also performed numerous “acts of kindness,” providing various types of assistance to community members in true need.
